African International School’s extraordinary campus is located on 12 acres in Diamniadio, a 30-minute drive from Dakar. The campus was designed by a renowned Spanish architect Wide walkways, cool limestone, and trees and shrubs grace the spacious campus landscape. The facilities are purpose-built with ample social gathering spaces in addition to those designed for study and campus activities.
The dormitories can accommodate some 400 students. The campus also features 65 classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories as well as an auditorium that serves as the performing arts center for music concerts, dance recitals, theatrical productions and all-school community gatherings. The other hub of campus life is the Keba Mbaye Library that offers a mix of literary, historical, technical, and reference books as well as cozy spaces for reading, studying, and quiet reflection. Students at AIS enjoy access to excellent sports facilities including outdoor athletic complex, soccer pitch, multiple other playing fields and a semi-Olympic swimming pool.
